UPDATE ABOUT NEW CURRICULUM:
The curriculum update is underway but not completed.
The curriculum update is scheduled to be completed in mid-July.
The revised student planner cannot be printed until the update is completed.
The revised update training component cannot be created until the update is completed.
An officer will have to complete the required curriculum update training before being eligible to access the updated curriculum and student planner.
An agency having to place an order for workbooks in June of this year will have to work with the current curriculum and student planner.
To access the updated D.A.R.E. kiR elementary student planner officers must complete the required curriculum update training. The curriculum update is scheduled to be completed in time for the conference training session. The curriculum update training provided during the conference will serve as the model from which an online training component will be developed. The online curriculum update training component, similar to that created last year for the middle school curriculum update, will be available at some point after the conference. The curriculum update is underway, but neither the update nor the training module has been completed, so I cannot estimate when the online training segment will be available. As in the past, officers will have one year, in this case, the fall of 2026, to complete the required training and transition to the updated curriculum and student planner. For those officers completing the required curriculum update training at the conference, we do not yet know when workbooks will be printed, in inventory, and available for shipment.
